Breakfast Casserole With Sausage

A hearty breakfast casserole featuring sausage, eggs, and cheese.

  • 1pound breakfast sausage
  • 6large eggs
  • 2 cupsshredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cupsmilk
  • 1 teaspoonsalt
  • 1/2 teaspoonblack pepper
  • 4 cupscubed bread
  • 1/2 cupchopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the cooked sausage, bread cubes, cheese, and green onions to the egg mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the casserole is set and golden brown on top.
  7. Allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

You can use any type of bread for this recipe.
Feel free to add vegetables like bell peppers or spinach.
This casserole can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning.
