  • 3 tablespoonsunsalted butter

  • 1 cupchicken broth
  • 1 cupwhole milk
  • ¼ teaspoonsalt
  • ¼ teaspoonblack pepper
  • ½ cupfreshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoonchopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Rinse the Rice: Place the rice in a fine mesh strainer and rinse under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch and helps keep the rice fluffy.
  2. Sauté Garlic: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute, until fragrant and slightly golden.
  3. Cook the Rice: Add the rice, chicken broth, milk, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine, bring to a gentle simmer, then cover and reduce the heat to low.
  4. Simmer to Perfection: Let the rice cook undisturbed for 18-20 minutes, or until it is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed. Avoid lifting the lid frequently to retain steam.
