Crockpot French Dip

A simple and flavorful crockpot French dip sandwich made with tender beef and savory broth.

Ingredients

  • 3pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1onion, sliced
  • 4cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cupsbeef broth
  • 1 cupwater
  • 1 tablespoonWorcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoondried thyme
  • 1 teaspoonblack pepper
  • 8hoagie rolls
  • Swiss cheese, for serving

Instructions

  1. Place the beef roast in the crockpot.
  2. Add sliced onion and minced garlic on top of the beef.
  3. Pour in beef broth, water, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and black pepper.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until beef is tender.
  5. Remove the beef and shred it with two forks.
  6. Return the shredded beef to the broth in the crockpot.
  7. Toast hoagie rolls and fill with shredded beef and cheese.
  8. Serve with broth for dipping.

Notes

Adjust seasoning to taste.
Can use other cheeses if preferred.
Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
