Make these easy cinnamon sugar cruffins in under 30 minutes for a quick, delicious treat perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3(8-ounce) tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 6 tablespoonsbutter, softened, divided
  • 1 cupgranulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoonground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly grease a standard muffin pan with cooking spray.
  2. On a clean, lightly floured surface, roll out each tube of crescent dough into a 12-inch by 16-inch rectangle. If using regular crescent rolls, pinch the seams together to form one large sheet.
  3. Spread 3 tablespoons of softened butter evenly over each sheet of dough.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon.
  5. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of the cinnamon sugar mixture over each dough sheet. Gently press the sugar mixture into the dough using the back of a spoon or your hand.
  6. Carefully roll each sheet of dough into a tight log. If the edges are uneven, gently pat them toward the center to form a smooth roll.
  7. Slice each log in half, creating two shorter logs. Then slice each shorter log lengthwise into two sections. Repeat with the other two dough sheets, resulting in 12 sections of dough.
  8. Take one dough section at a time, and, with the cinnamon-sugar side facing out, wrap the dough around your finger to create a spiral. Gently remove the spiral from your finger and form it into a ball shape. Tuck the loose end under and place it into the muffin pan.
  9. Repeat with the remaining dough sections, filling the muffin tin.
  10. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Once baked, remove from the oven and roll each cruffin in the remaining cinnamon-sugar mixture for extra sweetness.
