4large eggs
1 cuphalf-and-half

Instructions
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup. Microwave for 1-2 minutes, or until the sugar dissolves. Stir to blend well. (Alternatively, this can be done on the stovetop.)
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
Pour the brown sugar mixture into the bottom of the baking dish and spread evenly. Arrange the bread cubes on top in a single layer.
In a separate bowl or measuring cup, whisk together the eggs, half-and-half, vanilla extract, and salt.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread cubes, ensuring they are fully soaked.
Cover the dish with plastic wrap or a lid and refrigerate overnight (8-10 hours).
The next morning, preheat the oven to 350°F. Uncover the dish and place it in the cold oven. Once the oven reaches the desired temperature, bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the bread is golden and the syrup is bubbling. For an alternative method, bake for 20 minutes, then carefully flip the bread pieces with a spatula and continue baking for an additional 10-15 minutes.
Serve immediately with sweetened whipped cream and fresh strawberries or raspberries.
