Green Bean Casserole No Mushroom Soup

A creamy and satisfying green bean casserole without mushroom soup.

  • 2 cupsfresh green beans, trimmed
  • 1 cupsour cream
  • 1 cupshredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cupcrispy fried onions
  • 1/4 cupmilk
  • 1 tablespoonsoy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoongarlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoononion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
  3. In a large bowl, mix together sour cream, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the blanched green beans and half of the cheddar cheese to the mixture. Stir to combine.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and top with the remaining cheddar cheese and crispy fried onions.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the casserole is bubbly and the top is golden brown.

Notes

You can substitute fresh green beans with frozen if needed.
Adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
For a crunchier topping, add more crispy fried onions on top before baking.
