5Persian cucumbers
1/2 tspsalt
1/2 tbspsesame oil
3/4 tbsplight soy sauce
1 tbspsugar
3/4 tbsprice vinegar
1 tbspchili oil
1/2 tbspsesame seeds
Instructions
1️⃣ Rinse the Persian cucumbers thoroughly. Slice off one end at an angle. Continue slicing the cucumber at an angle so that the pieces are more oval than round. Adjust the thickness according to your preference.
2️⃣ Place the cucumber slices in a bowl or container, and sprinkle them with 1/2 tsp of salt. Mix well to ensure even coating, then refrigerate for at least 20 minutes to allow the salt to draw out excess moisture.
3️⃣ After refrigeration, drain the water from the cucumbers. Give them a quick 10-second rinse under cold water, then return them to the bowl or container.
4️⃣ Add sesame oil, light soy sauce, sugar, rice vinegar, chili oil, and sesame seeds to the cucumbers. Stir until everything is well combined.
5️⃣ Serve immediately or refrigerate for a while to let the flavors meld together. Enjoy your fresh and flavorful sesame cucumber salad!
