A comforting and hearty green bean potato casserole packed with flavor.
Ingredients

- 4 cupsgreen beans, fresh or frozen
- 4 cupspotatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 cuponion, chopped
- 2 cupscream of mushroom soup
- 1 cupshredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cupmilk
- 1 teaspoongarlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cupFrench fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine green beans, potatoes, onion, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer the mixture into a greased baking dish.
- Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 45 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
- Remove from oven and sprinkle French fried onions on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
You can substitute fresh green beans with canned green beans.
Feel free to add cooked chicken or turkey for extra protein.
This dish can be prepared a day in advance and baked before serving.
