Green Bean Casserole With Fresh Beans
A classic green bean casserole made with fresh beans for a healthier twist.
Ingredients

- 1pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cupmilk
- 1 cupFrench fried onions
- 1 teaspoonsoy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, bring water to a boil and blanch the green beans for about 5 minutes.
- Drain the green beans and set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Stir in the blanched green beans and half of the French fried onions.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove from oven and top with the remaining French fried onions.
- Bake for an additional 10 minutes until the onions are golden brown.
Notes
For extra flavor, add garlic powder or onion powder to the mixture.
You can substitute with frozen green beans if fresh ones are not available.
