Classic Green Bean Casserole
A classic dish made with green beans, cream of mushroom soup, and crispy onions.

- 1pound fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1/2 cupmilk
- 1 teaspoonsoy sauce
- 1/4 teaspoonblack pepper
- 1 1/3 cupscrispy fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Add the blanched green beans to the mixture and stir well.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top with 2/3 cup of crispy fried onions.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven and stir.
- Top with the remaining crispy fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Use fresh green beans for the best texture.
You can substitute homemade mushroom soup if preferred.
Adjust the amount of crispy onions to your taste.
