Ingredients
- 3to4pounds beef chuck roast
- 1 tablespoonolive oil
- 1onion, chopped
- 4cloves garlic, minced
- 4carrots, sliced
- 4potatoes, diced
- 2 cupsbeef broth
- 2 tablespoonsWorcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoonsalt
- 1 teaspoonblack pepper
- 1 teaspoondried thyme
- 1 teaspoonrosemary
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
- Brown the beef chuck roast on all sides in the skillet.
- Place chopped onion, garlic, carrots, and potatoes in the crockpot.
- Put the browned roast on top of the vegetables.
- Pour beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the roast.
- Season with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender.
Notes
For added flavor, you can marinate the roast overnight.
Adjust the vegetables based on your preference.

Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Add the blanched green beans to the mixture and stir well.
- Pour the mixture into a baking dish and top with 2/3 cup of crispy fried onions.
- Bake for 25 minutes, then remove from the oven and stir.
- Top with the remaining crispy fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
Use fresh green beans for the best texture.
