Thanksgiving Green Bean Casserole
A classic Thanksgiving dish made with green beans and creamy mushroom sauce, topped with crispy onions.

- 2pounds fresh green beans, trimmed
- 1can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
- 1 cupmilk
- 1 teaspoonsoy sauce
- 1/8 teaspoonblack pepper
- 1 1/3 cupscrispy fried onions
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Blanch the green beans in boiling water for 5 minutes, then drain and rinse with cold water.
- In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, and black pepper.
- Add the green beans to the soup mixture and stir to combine.
- Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
- Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven.
- Remove from oven and stir in 2/3 cup of crispy fried onions.
- Top with remaining crispy fried onions and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Notes
For a healthier option, use low-fat cream of mushroom soup.
You can substitute fresh green beans with frozen ones if necessary.
